Now we have all from time to time shoved a piece of cookie dough in our mouths even as children with the warning from your mother ringing in your head of, "Don't eat that raw dough....you will get worms"! Did your mother tell you that or am I the only one with a mother that worried over my getting worms?  Anyhow, who really cares when you have these staring you in the face? I am putting these on my list of stuff to do for Valentine's Day.

Great Valentine Craft Ideas

 Scoping around for some ideas for Valentine Crafts, I came upon this page from Holiday Crafts & Creations. This is a wickedly cool idea using string, glue, paint & wax paper. Check out the photo.

 Click on the link above for complete instructions.  They look awesome & are pretty easy to make. That is right up my alley. I know I will be giving these a shot.

Grandson's Tonsil Thingy Part II

 Hello Blogland.....remember me? Still dealing with computer issues but thought I would give this post a try. As you know, my oldest grandson Ryan, had to have his tonsils removed due to them enlarging & threatening to close his airway. Thanks to all of you who emailed & posted best wishes to him for a speedy recovery. He is still a bit sore but last night actually had spaghetti & a meatball for dinner instead of pudding or jello. I wanted to share the photos my son took of his hospital visit. Here we go.

This first photo is right after they arrived at the hospital & Ryan was being prepped for surgery. He was very nervous.

In this next shot my son was trying to lighten his son's mood by joking about him wearing a "bonnet".

Here, Ryan is showing how he thinks he will look after the surgery.

The hospital staff finally showed pity for the nervous kid & gave him a shot of the "Happy Juice".

The "Happy Juice" works its magic.

Ryan loved the "Happy Juice". As my son said to him..."You like a da Juice ah"?

He laughed so hard on the "juice" he had tears running down his face. A doctor walked past with a thick dark mustache & Ryan was saying "Mario, Mario, Mario". Cause the doctor to him in his juiced up state looked like Mario from the video game Mario Brothers.

Looks like he could take somebody out in this shot doesn't it?

So far so good with posting this. Looks like the Broom & I will be back in action poofing in & out all over Blogland in no time. Which makes me very happy cause I have missed each &every one of my Blogland Peeps!

Gotta Do The Grandmama Gig

Just want to let you know Blogland that the Broom & I have to fly over to my son's house bright & early (well it won't be bright out) in the morning today cause my eldest grandson has to have his tonsils removed at 7am. He has not been having problems but apparently boy's tonsils can enlarge when they hit puberty if they have not already been taken out. My grandson Ryan is nearing that age & of his tonsilsarealready enlarged to the point that if they are not removed they could block his airway & that is not good . I did not know this could happen. My son is 32 & still has his tonsils. So please send healing thoughts or prayers or whatever you do cause positive energe is positive energy, no matter how it is sent. This is my grandson Ryan:

Me & The Broom & The Cable Company

The Broom & I did not get to head out too early cause of the ongoing server issues. To do a post I did earlier I had to flip flop between 2 different servers. Oh what fun I had! (that was sarcasm) So me & the Broom finally made it to a few places & poofed in to see a few old friends in Blogland.

(now I can't center anything. how wonderful is that?)




everything is wonky right now in my little corner of the world :(












Seriously getting ticked off at the cable company & the internet. Broom & I will out & about in Blogland again tomorrow unless I end up using my Broom on my computer. Til then....ta ta & "Poof", I'm outta here.

Funky Frame Do-over

Good morning fellow Bloglanders. Today with the help of my wonky new internet server (sometimes my sentences are all over the page now & cannot be adjusted) I bring to you my Frame Do-over. The frame & picture in it was given to us by a friend that knows I remake things like this. So here is what said funky frame & picture looked like before.

In this shot, it does not look so bad but the mat & picture had some water damage. Not too much but enough to cause a touch of mold to develop. The frame itself was nicked up here & there but I am gonna make that work for me.

Onward to the outside crafting area & some primer after I took the whole thing apart.

Then a couple coats of silver spray paint. It was really windy yesterday & man did I have fun dodging the silver paint when the wind changed direction on me. Almost had a new career as a street performer in New Orleans! But I think the silver coated statue gig is already being done. Least it was last time I was there!

Once dry it was on inside for a quick wash with black acrylic paint. Luckily there was no wind in the house & I did not have to dodge any flying paint.

Here is a not so great shot of the effect with the black wash but it turned out looking pretty cool when you are looking at it. I left the black wash on for less than 2 minutes on each section of the frame.

Once I took the whole shebang apart I realized that the mat around the picture was attached to the picture. It was all one animal so to speak. Pretty slick work there by the manufacturer. I sprayed the entire mat & picture with a light primer. Here are the before & after photos:

Now here is a shot of the frame minus the mat still cause that will be another post as to what I decide to put where the "picture" part was.

So there you have the frame part. Yea, I know pretty exciting huh? (not) The whole one thingy mat/picture threw me here so now I have to figure out what is what with that. Stay tuned to Wiccan Make Some Too for the next installment of what the heck am I gonna do with the mat/picture part. (insert cliff hanger music here)

I Was A Guest Blogger At Crystal's Craft Spot!

While I was lost in cyber space or whatever you call it. Ya know while I was having internet server issues, I was a Guest Blogger at Crystal's Craft Spot!  I think that is wickedly awesome. I had a great time & Crystal is a most gracious hostess. She had no problem letting me be me. I really appreciate that in a person. I so detest having to pretend to be something other than what I am. I did years ago so not to "put out" the masses. But hey, I am me & that is that. Anyway I wanted to thank my girl Crystal once again for letting me come over & hang out for a while. I sure hope I didn't wreck her place too bad! So poof on over there & check it out. It should be fun for you.....right?!?!?!?

It's Winner Time!

Ok Blogland. A bit late posting this. I have had to go on to an entire new server (not liking it much but hey at least it is operating) Sorry for being away due to these technical issues but I think a great woman once said" #%*@ Happens. Me, The Broom & Internet Issues

 Hi Blogland! Glad I am able to pop in for a bit. Me & my Broom have not been able to veture out very mucn due to some internet server issues. Still trying to get them straightened out. Hang tight with us please! We have been very frustrated over this. Newer High Speed internet service & we get this mess. (sigh) Happy Flippin' New Year to me. Managed a few stops & boy do I mean a few. Oh, Broom says "hi".

Where Me & The Broom Went This Morning

 Was having some server problems yesterday but me & the Broom have been out & about today. We hit some great places & hung out with some wonderful friends of ours & also met some new ones. The Broom does have a way of sweeping people off of their feet! (aww come on, you should have known that pun would makes it way into this bit eventually)

Too Early For Even The Broom?

 Ha ha! I got to turn the tables on the Broom this morning. Had a major hot flash that would not quit so I thought a spin around Blogland would be just the thing to help cool off.
