Cardboard Circle Trees

Okay  another"trash" project. These are trees made from card board covered with wrapping paper then cut into circles. I used white craft glue to glue the paper to my cardboard. Just squeezed some out onto the cardboard & spread it around with a sponge brush til it covered the entire piece.  Here is a shot of two of the papers I used drying.

Some of it puckered a bit. That is not a big deal. I traced three different sized circles onto my cardboard.

Cut my circles out. For the smallest circles I used the indentations from the beer soda box. Then I used a small candle base for the middle size & a large can of soup for the largest.

Start with the larger circles & work up to shaping the different sized circles into a tree shape & glue into place. When you have your circles glued, glue a spring clothes pin to the bottom of your tree like a trunk. Gluing  at the bottom/leg  part of the clothes pin so you can use the grippy part to attach it to what ever you want. I had  a really bad shot of one on a tree but here is a shot with a better background. (sorry it was dark in that shot so I got rid of it)

The circle to your right is not black paper. I was taking the photo at night  & if I had used the flash the purple paper is a foil & would have caused an entire "white out" on the pic.
I know I probably should  have waited for natural light but I wanted to get this posted.

There you have it. A simple & easy tree to add to your Holiday decor! I know there may be some of you out there in Blogland that may try this.  I wanna see some photos!
